Due to financial restrictions the 9th Poulenc International Competition can not take place on the defined schedule.
Our will to give a better standing to the competition in both France and abroad lead the Organization Board to postpone it in November 2016 with the same program.

organization of the rounds
¤ Qualifying Rounds : - Not marked : A very short piece or improvisation permitting the acquaintance with the instrument (2 minutes maximum)
- J.S Bach : Any Prelude and Fugue from “Das Wohltemperiert Klavier”
- Rameau or Couperin : a piece chosen by the candidate
- Chopin : chosen by the candidate : a study from Op. 10 or Op. 25 - A mazurka.
- Poulenc : Presto in B flat Major*

Maximum time 20 minutes

¤ Semi Finale : - Poulenc : Intermezzo in A flat Major*
- Eric Tanguy : Omaggio*
- Free choice of romantic work by BRAHMS, CHOPIN, LISZT, SCHUBERT, or SCHUMANN

Maximum time 30 minutes

¤ Final récital : - Free recital

Maximum time 60 minutes
The romantic work which was performed at the Semi Final can be replayed at the Final.

¤ Finale concerto : - Concerto for piano and orchestra by F. Poulenc
With orchestra or accompaniment piano
